2017 Woman of Achievement Nominee
Gina Raffety’s roots in Southeast Missouri run deep. She is a graduate of Jackson High School
and earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Southeast Missouri State University.
She and her husband, Thomas, have a family farm in the Charleston area.
Raffety is publisher of The Cash-Book Journal newspaper in Jackson, Mo., and the managing
member of MCLB Management Company, LLC. She serves on the North American Association
of Inventory Services board of directors. She is vice president of Jackson Publishing Company
and Associated Inventory Specialists.
In addition to her many professional commitments, Raffety says she is committed to creating a
stronger and healthier community. She serves on the Board of Directors at Saint Francis
Healthcare System and recently completed her term as the Board Chair of the Saint Francis
Foundation Board. She organized and hosted the first Pink Up Jackson event and has been
involved in numerous other Pink Up events in both Cape Girardeau and Jackson. She has
provided both editorial and advertising support to help bring awareness to the fight against breast
Supporting young people is also important to Raffety. She and her husband have four children:
Kyle, Daly, Lily and Harper. Raffety’s commitment to young people extends beyond her own
children. She has served as a “Big” in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization for the past 10
years. She and her family are currently hosting a foreign exchange student from Spain who is a
junior at Cape Central High School.
Raffety is also a long time supporter of the Jackson Chamber of Commerce and was integral to
the development of the monthly Chamber breakfasts, Business After Hours events and the
monthly newsletter The Chamber Connection. She also is a past board member and past
Raffety and her family attend LaCroix Church where she has volunteered in numerous capacities
and is active in her small group bible study.
